How do you get your 8 year old son to wake up early and watch the sunrise when its -16 degrees? Easy, no school on Monday! That was the deal we struck at 6 a.m. I triple bundled him up in snow gear, and we joined many flickr friends for a chilly sunrise at Valley View. This color lasted less than a minute. We were all excited in the hopes that the sky was going to explode, and then it just fizzled. I wasn’t going to post this photo in the hopes of capturing something more dramatic this winter. This image has been collecting dust on my computer, and today I am grateful to have this shot due to our pathetic winter. Things are looking hopeful again next month for new fresh snow! Wishing everyone a snowy February, and a great Weekend!
Thanks for looking!
