OOF Josie RdO TJ 11-14

OOF Josie RdO TJ 11-14

A way out of focus (and slightly motion blurred, as well!) shot of my fianceé (although she wasn’t that [she was my novia…] when this was taken, back in 2014…) seen in Room 66 of the Hotel Rizo del’Oro in the Zona Norte (a notorious red-light district…) of Tijuana, BCN, (Baja California Norte [there’s a B.C. Sur, BTW]) Mexico. Taken by a Nikon F4s with a Nikkor 50mm ƒ 1.8 AF-D lens on Fujichrome Velvia 50 film. Exposure is in the 1/8 sec @ ƒ 1.8 range…

Scanned into computer by an Epson V700, with the Epson software.

Lighting in this room is always problematic for photography, and I may have forgotten that I had ISO 50 film in the camera!

Before another shot was taken, I accidentally rewound the film, and since my F4 isn’t modified to leave the leader out, it sat on my dashboard for 2½ years!

Not processed for dust removal…

Cellar Spider BY 5-8-13

Cellar Spider BY 5-8-13

A Cellar Spider (exact species unknown – there are 20 species in the genus Pholcus that are very similar to each other…) Pholcus sp? that I found in an un-dusted corner of my computer room (a converted bedroom) in Albany, CA. Taken by a Nikon F4s with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm ƒ 3.5 AI lens on Kodak Portra 400.

Taken at 1/2 life-size on the film plane…

That’s a window stile (painted grey) behind the spider… I caught the translucence of the legs… Unusually for this genus, this guy/gal has all his/her legs…

For a true "The Spider That Ate Albany" experience, try this shot in original size!

Note that the bus is painted in the Rapid livery, but that the livery is fading badly… this seems to be happening to a lot of the buses in the rapid livery…

plane BM 3-20-13

A small airplane flies over Ceaser Chavez Park in Berkeley, CA Taken by a Nikon F4s with a Promaster 7 100-400 lens (at 400) on Fujicolor Superia 400. Negative scanned into computer by an HP G4010, dust reduction done in Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. Cropped severely to square.

Line below plane is either a scratch in the negative or a artifact of the scanner (It runs through several of my negatives, always the 4th or 5th negative of a stick of 6…)
