The stuff around my desk tends to get photographed because it strikes me at the right time as being interesting and the camera is right there at the time. I would have thousands of more pictures of random stuff like this if I could have a camera built into the optical nerves in my head. But when that tech becomes available the flood of other peoples random images shall nicely hold mine too.

Becky made this cool little collage for me at my request (it’s intended as an aid to help me pass the time when Windows is busy doing its own thing with my computer) I thought it was cool how the colors matched my water glass and coaster even though Becky hadn’t seen that unlikely combination.

But I’m not crazy.
I’ve had this desk for quite a few years now. I begged my parents to get it for me in early high school promising that it would help me with my homework. Concentrating on math in the dining room doesn’t work (of course once I got a computer it didn’t work so well in my room either). When I got my dual display setup I had to take down the hutch. The desktop cabinet (a sauna for your PC) hasn’t been opened in years and probably has a colony of dust bunnies. The file drawer has broken a few times over the years and only has a few papers in it now. Frankly, I love my desk but today I’d much prefer something a little more simplistic, probably from Ikea.
But that’s not why I’m shaving it. After years of resting my forearms on the front trim panel, the wallpaperish laminate started to come off. So I decided to just shave it off.
