One of the side benefits of running a LAN party for virtual Blizzcon is that since I move my gaming PC out to the dining room area for the event, when it comes time to move it back it’s a great opportunity to open up the case and do some dusting. This sort of maintenance helps keep things running in top shape!

When I opened up the system case, man, it was so freaky dusty! When I blew it the first time, it created a heavy fog scene in my room!
I spent about 15 minutes just try to get all the dust out of the case and off the motherboard & video card. I really should clean this thing up more often from now.

What a pain in the butt to build with this.
If you have fat fingers ask your wife or girlfriend to help.
First of all if you are installing a 140mm fan in this case say goodbye to placing a mechanical hard drive in this build. It doesn’t say it in the manual. I’m not even sure if you can have two SSDS with a 140mm fan.
No dust filter for your PSU. I need to add a filter to the PSU fan.
Use a SFX PSU! I have an ATX PSU and the wires are taking so much space I’m having a hard time placing a reference 780 card in it.
Overall it is small and makes a great HTPC, but be warned of the limitations.

Spring cleaning again but the its the main gaming PC. This dusting was a bit easier because this rig doesn’t run 24 hours a day like my server PC.
I wish this desktop had a filter in every intake or hole. I have purchased magnetic filters for the side and bottom intakes, but the front does not have any filters. It’s just a grill that intakes a bit of dust.
The Temps are pretty low with the system never going over 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The NZXT 410 is overall a great case for beginners like myself.

I was actually able to get alternate versions of this shot of my gaming PC’s interior in which there wasn’t a reflection on the glass panel, but I ended up liking the effect that the reflection caused. It gets kind of a neat double-exposure look.
Also, it looks like I should open it up this weekend and do a little dusting…

I have a PC that runs almost 24/7 to manage and sort my files. I live in Hawaii where the average cost of electricity is three times higher then the national average. That means I cant have A/C running for long periods of time. Windows are open and I live in the dry part of the island. Dust here is crazy.
I just wish they would make dust-proof case fans for computers. There is dust on the frame, dust on the fan, and dust inside where I cant reach. I could add more dust filters, but I think that would just suffocate my rig.
