Anonymous is a loosely associated hacktivist group. It originated in 2003 on the imageboard 4chan, representing the concept of many online and offline community users simultaneously existing as an anarchic, digitized global brain. It is also generally considered to be a blanket term for members of certain Internet subcultures, a way to refer to the actions of people in an environment where their actual identities are not known. It strongly opposes Internet censorship and surveillance, and has hacked various government websites. It has also targeted major security corporations. It also opposes Scientology, government corruption and homophobia. Its members can be distinguished in public by the wearing of stylized Guy Fawkes masks.

This is a great addition to any bobblehead collection. If you’re looking for a unique bobblehead, this is the one to own.

BACKSTORY: Building my new computer! We decidedto name it Thailog. Thailog ("Goliath" spelled backwards) is the evil twin of Goliath from the cartoon Gargoyles. Carolyn’s computer is named after Goliath, so it just makes sense that Clint’s computer is the evil twin of Carolyn’s computer. A quick summary of the computer’s specs is: Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz with an Arctic Freezer I30 cooler on a ASRock X99 WS EATX motherboard with 24G of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400mHz RAM, a Radeon R9 270 video card, and a Crucial M500 240GB M.2 SSD…all inside a massive NZXT Phantom 820 case. It was a $1560 build, summarized on my blog at clintjcl.wordpress.com/2015/03/06/journal-hardware-purcha…

January 9, 2011
Day 9 of Project 365
I finally had a day off so I decided to put my morning to use and tidy up my room (and look for a key that I lost about a month ago for work). I had drawings all over my floor from tape failure (see day 2) that I was too frustrated with to put back up. I had stuff all over my floor and my desk was a mess. This picture was taken of my desk in the dust and debris free reflection that even I didn’t know existed. Now the real challenge is keeping it like this.

4×4 box 1

4x4 box 1

Small box made from a 4×4, made by the photographer. (He’s a better photographer than woodworker…) Taken in Albany, CA by a Nikon N75 with a Nikkor 28-80 kit lens on Fuji Superia 800. Exposure unrecorded: Nikon Speedlight SB-50DX used. Negative scanned into computer by an HP G4010, dust removal and gamma correction done in Paint Shop Pro Photo X2.

Method: Rip about ¼ inch of material off opposite sides of the 4×4, keeping off-cuts – these will be your top and bottom. (and keep track of which one is which!) Cut out center of box with a band saw, keeping off-cut. Glue bottom of box onto center. Rip ¼ inch off the top of the center off-cut, glue to top, making sure that top is centered both ways on box. I make the center slightly excentric so the top will only fit one way. Finish with one coat of orange shellac.

Done correctly, these make good "stash boxes": they’ll look like a solid 4×4!
