Over the weekend I noticed a mark on all my pictures and assumed it was sensor dust. But the mark was quite long and smudgy and I became concerned that it might require some drastic action, I checked some articles online and came to the conclusion that I might need a Sensor Swab kit. But luckily cowfish and davidjwbailey suggested a gentle blast of air might do the trick. I found an old blower, from the days when I cleaned negs and slides, and puffed some air across the sensor – selecting ‘bulb’ in manual mode holds the mirror up. I tested the camera by photographing the computer screen and it looks fine now, thanks guys.
