A California Towhee (AKA: Brown Towhee) Pipilo crissalis in the Visitor’s Center parking lot of the Torrey Pines State Reserve north of La Jolla, CA. Taken by an Olympus OM-1MD with a Zuiko 50mm ƒ1.8 lens on Kodak Portra 400NC. Cropped ruthlessly to 3×5 aspect ratio. Negative scanned into computer by an HP G4010. Dust removal, color and gamma correction done in Paint Shop Pro Photo X2.
